Online Journal of Health & Allied Sciences , 2009,
Abstract: Peripheral ossifying fibroma is a relatively uncommon gingival growth that is considered to be reactive in nature and postulated to appear secondary to irritation or trauma. They usually occur in young adults with a female predominance and are solitary in nature. We report a case of peripheral ossifying fibroma in a 55-year old female.
Mesh Technique for Nymble Architecture Sustaining - Secrecy and Security in Anonymizing Networks
J.Praveen Kumar,B.Shyam Kumar
International Journal of Computer Science and Mobile Computing , 2013,
Abstract: Anonymizing networks such as Tor allow users to access Internet services privately by using a series of routers to hide the client’s IP address from the server. The success of such networks, however, hasbeen limited by users employing this secrecy for abusive purposes such as defacing popular websites. Website administrators routinely rely on IP-address blocking for disabling access to misbehaving users, but blocking IP addresses is not practical if the abuser routes through an anonymizing network. As a result, administrators block all known exit nodes of anonymizing networks, denying secrecy access to misbehaving and behaving users alike. To address this problem, present Nymble, a system in which servers can “blacklist”misbehaving users, thereby blocking users without compromising their anonymity. Our system is thus agnostic to different servers’ definitions of misbehavior servers can blacklist user’s .by using of Mesh technique. Which has been completely blocked by several services because of users who abuse their secrecy and providing security with MD5 algorithm

Optimization of Shielded Metal Arc Welding Parameters for Welding of Pipes by using Taguchi Approach
B.S.PRAVEEN KUMAR,Dr. Y. VIJAYAKUMAR
International Journal of Engineering Science and Technology , 2012,
Abstract: The objective of this paper is to Design Parameters for Shielded Metal Arc Welding to ensure no leak to occur during the process. To achieve the objective an attempt has been made to select importantwelding parameters like welding current, welding speed, root gap and position of electrode based on field expert’s suggestions, available literature and on scientific reasons. On the selected parameters, trails have been conducted as per Taguchi method and fixed the levels for the parameters. Further, for each parameter 3 different levels are fixed,. so that the experiment have become 4 parameters (factors)and each with 3 levels. Based on this, L9 (34) Orthogonal Array (OA) experiments are conducted and results are obtained. The results have indicated that leak proof joints can be produced in few specificoperating conditions. Under these conditions effects of noise are nullified. The contribution of each parameter towards the leak is also estimated by ANOVA.
Distally based superficial sural artery flap for soft tissue coverage in the distal 2/3 of leg and foot

Indian Journal of Orthopaedics , 2005,
Abstract: Background: Skin coverage for defects in the lower 2/3 of leg, ankle region and posterior heel has always been a difficult challenge for reconstructive surgeon. Methods: We describe our experience with the distally based superficial sural artery flap coverage in 48 patients with moderate sized defects in these difficult areas. Results: One out of 48 flaps (in 48 patients) was lost totally and 3 suffered marginal necrosis which did not require any secondary procedure. These complications could have been avoided by proper selection of cases and refining technical skills. Conclusion: This simple procedure could be an important and versatile tool for any reconstructive surgeon in providing skin coverage in the distal leg and proximal foot. Preservation of major arteries of the lower limb, minimal donor defect, relatively uninjured donor area in compound fracture or poly trauma involving distal leg are some of the advantages of the flap.
Odontogenic Fibromyxoma of Maxilla: A Case Report
CD Mounesh Kumar,KV Suresh,Praveen Reddy B,KV Umashankar
Journal of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University , 2013,
Abstract: Odontogenic fibromyxoma (OM) is a rare locally invasive, non metastasizing benign neoplasm found exclusively in the jaws. It commonly occurs in the second and third decade, and the mandible is involved more commonly than the maxilla. The lesion often grows without symptoms and presents as a painless swelling. The radiographic features are variable so the diagnosis is not easy in many cases. It posesa diagnostic and therapeutic challenge due to its morphology and biological behaviour. A caseo f OM of the maxilla with unusual radiographic and histological features is described in a 27 year old female.
Growth and Characterization of Pure and Doped L-Alanine Tartrate Single Crystals
K. Rajesh,B. Milton Boaz,P. Praveen Kumar
Journal of Materials , 2013, DOI: 10.1155/2013/613092
Abstract: Single crystals of pure and Lanthanum doped L-Alanine Tartrate were grown by slow evaporation method. The cell parameters were determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction method. To improve the physical properties of the LAT crystal, Lanthanum dopant was added by 2?mol%. ICP studies confirm the presence of Lanthanum in the grown LAT crystal. Transparency range of the crystal was determined using UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer. The functional groups of pure and doped LAT crystals were analyzed by FT-IR spectroscopy. Using Vickers microhardness tester, mechanical strength of the material was found. Dielectric studies of pure and doped LAT single crystals were carried out. The doped LAT crystal is found to have efficiency higher than that of pure LAT crystal. 1. Introduction In recent years organic nonlinear optical (NLO) crystals have attracted much attention for their large nonlinear coefficient, high laser damage threshold [1, 2]. However, most of organic NLO materials have poor mechanical and thermal properties, resulting in the damage of crystal during processing. To avoid this drawback, a new type of NLO material has been grown from organic-inorganic complexes. These semiorganic materials have high optical nonlinearity of a purely organic compound combined with the mechanical and thermal properties of inorganic materials [3]. Amino acids have attracted a wide interest of the researchers, since all the compounds in the class consist of an optically active property. Thus, amino acids have special physical properties which make them an ideal candidate for their NLO applications [4]. Recently, L-Alanine crystals have increased attention for photoinduced nonlinear optical effects and dispersion of the linear and nonlinear optical susceptibilities. Photoinduced nonlinear optical effects of L-Alanine single crystals show that the increasing time of illuminations leads to slight changes in the absorption backgrounds without changes in the spectral features [5]. Dispersion of the linear and nonlinear optical susceptibilities of L-Alanine single crystals was reported [6]. In the present work, a systematic study has been carried out on the growth of pure and Lanthanum doped L-Alanine Tartrate (LAT) crystals. An attempt has been made to improve the physiochemical properties of LAT by adding Lanthanum dopant. Single crystal X-ray diffraction study has been carried out to confirm the grown pure and doped crystals. ICP studies have been carried out to confirm the presence of Lanthanum in the grown crystal. FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF COLON SPECIFIC MATRIX AND COATED TABLET OF METRONIDAZOLE
M. Praveen Kumar,B. Mohammed Ishaq,J. Ravi Kumar Reddy,R. Pradeep Kumar
International Research Journal of Pharmacy , 2011,
Abstract: Targeting of drugs to the colon by the oral route could be achieved by different approaches including matrix and coated systems, for which the drug release is controlled by the gastrointestinal pH, transit times and intestinal flora. The method by which the drug release will be triggered by the colonic flora appears to be more interesting with regard to the selectivity. Metronidazole is only used antibiotics which can be used in colonic diseases. Matrix tablets were prepared by mixtures of Pectin and Guar gum, in which Metronidazole was selected as model drug. Six Matrix (F-I to VI) and coated (F VII to XII) tablet formulations of Metronidazole were prepared by different mixtures of pectin and guar gum then coated with Eudragit RS 100, for coated tablets. The results of drug release studies, performed according to the USP paddle method by using 0.1N hydrochloric acid for 2 hrs, pH 7.4 phosphate buffer for 3 hrs and pH 6.8 phosphate buffer for 24 hrs. And In vitro dissolution study for metronidazole tablets in Rat cecal content were performed. Matrix tablets of guar gum with metronidazole in the ratio of 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 shows percent drug release after 24 hrs as 83%, 63% and 55% respectively. Pectin in the ratio of 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 shows percent drug release after 24 hrs as 100%, 95% and 82% respectively. Coated tablets of guar gum with metronidazole in the ratio the ratio of 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 shows percent drug release after 24 hrs as 96%, 60% and 52% respectively. Pectin in the ratio of 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 shows percent drug release after 24 hrs as 97%, 99% and 95% respectively. All these batches in first two hours i.e. pH 1.2 hydrochloric acid shows very neglible release, then it showed slight increase in pH 7.4 Phosphate Buffer. Drug release up to 5 hours but it showed high and fast increase in drug release from 6th hour in pH 6.8 Phosphate buffer, as it enters in colonic pH. So natural polymers are most cheap and suitable for colonic drug delivery.
